(1) How long do we have to pay our initiation fees?
<1> Per our By-Laws you have 90 day to pay the total initiation fees, if there is a hardship in making payments, you will need to speak with your Chairperson, to be considered for extended time.

(2) As a part-timer or a temporary employee how much initiation fees do we pay?
<2> All members permanent,part-time or summer temp pay $375.00 initiation fee.

(3) What paid holidays do we get?
<3> The following days are paid holidays: New Years Day, President Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas.

(4) How many sick days do we get?
<4> We do not have a set number of sick days, for the first two years with the company you do not get paid for sick time, after the two years the company will pay you for days you are sick.

(5) How many vacation days do we have?
<5> Permanent and full time temporary employees having ten months or more of service on May 1 shall be entitled to two weeks of vacation in that year, with ten day's pay of eight hours each. Those permanent and full time temp employees who have had a shorter period of service shall have one day vacation with pay of eight hours for each month of service starting with one day if employed in April of the year, two days if employed in March of the year, and so forth, up to ten days if employed in July of the previous year.

(6) I have 3 years of service and 2 weeks vacation when do I get my 3rd week?
<6> 6 years of service 3 weeks, 15 years of service 4 weeks, 21 years of service 5 weeks, 30 years of service 6 weeks. there are 3 floating holidays given to all employees in addition to your weeks

(7) If I have a problem who do I need to see?
<7> On your union bullentin board there will be a list of Stewards, you should see any one of them first, also there is a list with your local council committee, you can also see one of them.

(8) How many days am I allowed off in case of a family members death?
<8> Permanent employees in the event of lost of a loved one are granted, 3 consecutive working days if the deceased was the father, mother, brother, sister, wife, husband, child, father-n-law or mother-n-law. 1 working day if the deceased was grandfather, grandmother, or grandchild. Exceptional cases not covered above, will receive individual consideration by the Manager based upon the circumstances in the case.

(9)When do we get a raise, do we get a cost of living raise?
<9> Members not at max pay, will receive a progression raise every six months, members salary grade 11 or above receive a progression raise every 9 months. We do not receive a cost of living raise, but we do get 3.250% raise every May 1, until the end of our contract May 1, 2011. Progression raises can be delayed due in certain instances.

(10) Do I need a Doctors note, if I am not on C.O.D?
<10> No, it is not necessary to submit a doctors note. Due to company guidelines/policies, a supervisor may request you to provide a doctors note at any given time during your illness.

(11) Part Timers- If we work the day before and the day after a Holiday do we get paid for the Holiday?
(11) As a part timer if you are scheduled to work the day before and the day after a Holiday you will be paid for the Holiday. (4) hours

(12) When do I receive my appraisal?
(12) Your appraisal is given every year in your anniversary month. Signing your appraisal doesn't mean you can't grieve it. Signing it only means you received it, but if you don't agree with it, don't sign it.
